|For a long time people have been asking for a simple system that doesn't require a Pocket PC. Now it's here. The MQGPS-TraQr is a standalone 5 Hz MQGPS with built-in memory, good for 6 hours of track time. When you're done driving, you download your data to your PC with a USB cable. From there you can use the standard Chart software to see your data, get lap and segment times, view Qview(tm) plots, and do all the other great analysis that MaxQData has become known for.
Pocket PC users still have a big advantage in terms of accessing their data quickly, since there is no need to download to a PC. With a Pocket PC, you don't even need to leave your car, which is important if you only have a few minutes to learn something before your next run. And of course you get several real-time dashboard displays, including lap time (the Pocket PC is still cheaper than buying a separate lap timer display). That's not to mention other advanced features, like telemetry.
But if you don't want to learn how to use a PDA and you just want to get started with data acquisition the simplest way possible, the MQGPS-TraQr is for you.
Shipping now - $389, complete, nothing else to buy.
(and yes, it's still Pocket PC-compatible if you'd rather not lug around your laptop!)
