Here's a brief summary of the new video capture features in the VeQtr(tm) systems and the new version 3.0a software.

1. Video capture from up to four USB cameras simultaneously with your data.

2. Video capture begins when your data capture begins using our automatic trigger. Like our data capture, video has a preroll buffer which stores up to ten seconds of video before the actual trigger point, so you won't miss your launch.

3. There is no set limit to the size, quality, or frame rate of the video you can capture - you are limited only by the camera and laptop hardware. Most inexpensive Intel Atom-based notebooks should support 640x320 widescreen video capture at 30 FPS DVD quality with on-the-fly video compression.

4. You can optionally have a data overlay generated on-the-fly. That means that you don't have to do any post processing and waiting around to see a video with a data overlay - you can see it as soon as you pull off the course. Data overlay options include track map, Qview(tm) plot, LatG/LongG/MPH/etc. readouts, lap times, etc. Or you can capture bare video and generate overlays later.

5. You can produce a data overlay for the entire video or for just the interesting bits.

6. Video captured is locked to your data, so there is no need for manual synchronization.

7. You can upload videos directly to YouTube from within Chart.

8. With appropriate hardware, you can do night vision or high-speed video capture.

9. Secondary cameras are added to the primary camera as Picture-In-Picture windows.

10. The multi-camera support gives you great flexibility to place cameras just about anywhere they will fit - driver cam, pedal cam, dashboard cam, suspension cam, fender cam, etc.

You can easily change the destination directory using File >Set Filename Prefix in Flight.
